I have taken a sabbatical here and there, but always return to post new writings, etc. This space is for my practice art, rough drafts and art journal pages. About Me

Happy to make your acquaintance! You can call me Stacy. To the outside world, I'm a psychologist and scholar, but my inner world is riddled of literary quotes, collage art and verse. I've earned 5 degrees in Counseling, Psychology and English Lit. Recently I opted for an early retirement. My focus now is on family, personal exploration, and creating art / writing poetry. I created this blog as a space to record the things I love in my personal downtime. I adore the arts, tarot, poetry, books, and life! I enjoy walks in the dark, moon bathing, collage art, and dreaming. I practice yoga, read my runes, write in my journal, surround myself with candles and chant the verses of Plath (not really the last part, but it does sound romantic, eh?) I love creating art with Photoshop Elements. I have been working with Paintshop Pro and Photoshop Elements since 2009. I adore creating original photo manipulation, I feel each artwork is a world all it's own. I create scrapbook pages to preserve my memories and better explore myself. Art has served a therapeutic form of expression for me over the years. Just recently I began to play in AI prompts and artwork, I enjoy watching my words come to life in the form of images. I have been writing poetry since the tender age of 14. My earliest poetic influences were Emily Dickinson and Sylvia Plath...I adored one for her simplicity, the other for her dramatics. I also adore Anne Sexton and the lyrical poetry of Ani DiFranco...these (and other great women poets) have served as fine instructors for me over the years. I hope I at least do them some justice. I put all my daily practice writings (by me) here....enjoy reading! Be gentle though, I bruise easily.
